Cookbook Giveaway Extravaganza! Win FIVE Books!
See that stack of books there? They are sitting patiently, waiting to find out where their new home will be. They have yet to be open, and they will all be going to ONE OF YOU! Yes, you heard me right – all five books are being given away to one lucky reader. What do all five of these books have in common? Some of you may have already guessed this, but they are all written by food bloggers and were published in 2009. It was a big year for food bloggers and I thought it would be great to highlight each of the newly published books, and showcase what some food bloggers have been up to. And then of course, continue the celebration and give them away to one of you!
Check out each of the bloggers and their books:
The Steamy Kitchen Cookbook by Jaden Hair
Jaden began the Steamy Kitchen blog in 2007 and quickly began sharing her love of food through other outlets as well. She teaches cooking classes, has a weekly food column in The Tampa Tribune, a live cooking segment twice a month on Daytime, and has a food column on Discovery’s TLC website. All this among many other projects she is involved in – what a busy woman! Her cookbook is full of over 100 recipes for quick and easy Asian recipes, and most impressive? She took every single photo herself, in her home – no food stylists or photographers!
Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day by Jeff Hertzberg & Zoe Francois
Zoe is the woman behind the blog Zoe Bakes, which she began in 2007. She was no stranger to baking, though! She began a cookie business while still in college, then attended the Culinary Institute of America, has worked as a pastry chef, teaches cooking classes, and creates custom desserts and wedding cakes. This is the second book written by Zoe and Jeff Hertzberg, a follow up to Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day. Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day shows home bakers how to make their own bread quickly and easily, and focuses on breads rich in whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
The Pioneer Woman Cooks by Ree Drummond
Having gone from city girl to cattle ranch wife, Ree chronicles her transition and life on the ranch in one of the most popular food blogs, The Pioneer Woman. In addition to recipes, she also shares her love story (it will melt your heart!), photography tips, home and garden ideas, and even has a special section dedicated to homeschooling. In her cookbook, Ree stays true to form with a plethora of step-by-step pictures (in full color) and mouth-watering down home meals that your cowboys (both city and country) will love!
The Sweet Life in Paris by David Lebovitz
This is the latest in a long line of cookbooks that David has published, which includes The Perfect Scoop (one of my favorites!), The Great Book of Chocolate, Room for Dessert, and Ripe for Dessert. The Sweet Life is part cookbook, part memoir, and chronicles David’s move from San Francisco to the city that so many foodies dream about – Paris. The book brings us down to earth about the realities of learning how to live in a foreign land, while providing sensational recipes along the way. In contrast to his other books, this one also includes many savory recipes. David began his blog, David Lebovitz, in 2005, and continues to share wonderful recipes and stories about living in France.
The Foodie Handbook by Pim Techamuanvivit
Pim has been writing Chez Pim since 2000 (a blogging pioneer!), sharing her love of travel and food adventures, such as street fairs in Asia and European restaurants, as well as her favorite recipes. Her recipes, writing and photographs have been featured in The New York Times, Food & Wine Magazine, and Bon Appetit magazine. She has even been a judge on Iron Chef America! The Foodie Handbook is a guidebook for all things food-related. She shares tips, secrets, and anecdotes about preparing simple and flavorful dishes at home, as well eating street food in any city in the world.
As I said, one lucky reader will receive ALL FIVE of these amazing books! It’s like Christmas… in March! Read on for all the juicy details!
